Meet the Team

The people behind the work.

Life Together Alliance is built on trusted relationships, local knowledge, and people who keep showing up with practical help and a whole lot of heart.

Life Together Alliance began with Laura and Mustafa believing that helping people should be about more than meeting a need for today. It should create opportunity for tomorrow.

What started with simply showing up, listening, and helping where they could has grown into something neither of them could have imagined. Together they have built relationships and communities and families in Kenya, learned a lot along the way, and discovered that sometimes the best things begin with a simple question: What if we tried this?

At the heart of it all is a belief that meaningful change doesn't have to be complicated. Sometimes it looks like a garden that keeps feeding a family, a sewing machine that becomes a skill and an income, a reusable hygiene kit that keeps a girl in school, or simply making sure someone has a safe place to sleep. It's about finding practical ways to help that protect dignity, create opportunity, and last long after the moment has passed.

And somewhere along the way, the people they set out to help became people they love.

Esther Nyaribari, Director of Operations in Kenya

Esther Nyaribari

Director of Operations, Kenya

Esther is the heart behind so much of what we do in Kenya. As our Director of Operations, she oversees the Dignity CBO, works closely with our girls and their families, and plays an important role in our Hope at Home program. A trained social worker with an incredible ability to see both the need and the person behind it, Esther is our boots-on-the-ground problem solver, encourager, organizer, and fierce advocate for our girls. Quite simply, a whole lot of the magic happens because Esther is there making it happen.

Mercy and David

Community Support Coordinators

Mercy and David are an important part of our boots-on-the-ground team in Kenya. They help with distributions, check in on the families we support, assist with educational sponsorships, and are an essential part of our Hope at Home program. Because they know the communities and the people we serve, they help us understand what is truly needed and make sure support reaches the right hands. Whether they're delivering food and supplies, checking on a student, visiting a family, or simply showing up when someone needs them, Mercy and David bring a whole lot of heart to everything they do.
